She is co-founder of the Foundation and Corporate Roundtable, a group of foundation and corporate fundraisers from private universities that convenes to discuss funding trends, new gifts received, new personnel, and other issues related to foundation and corporate giving. She also serves on two non-profit boards: The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and the Centennial Heritage Museum. She is a former officer of the Institute for Voluntary Leadership. Kay’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in social sciences and a master’s degree in education from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.
