Ms. Kay Vickery

VickeryKay Vickery is a fundraising coach and consultant with 25 years of experience as a university and hospital fundraiser.  She has raised millions of dollars from individuals, corporations and foundations. Her business, Vickery Coaching, focuses on foundation and corporate relations; in this capacity she assists clients in: solving challenges that are common in the grants office; facilitating the development of the grant writing process; conducting research for appropriate foundation and corporate funding sources; developing strategies for prospective funders; identifying new prospects; and soliciting foundation and corporate gifts.

She is co-founder of the Foundation and Corporate Roundtable, a group of foundation and corporate fundraisers from private universities that convenes to discuss funding trends, new gifts received, new personnel, and other issues related to foundation and corporate giving.  She also serves on two non-profit boards:  The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and the Centennial Heritage Museum.  She is a former officer of the Institute for Voluntary Leadership.

Kay’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in social sciences and a master’s degree in education from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo. She also holds a Certificate in Fundraising from the University of California, Irvine and a life credential in elementary education.
